All inventions contain innovations, but not every innovation rises to the level of a unique invention. Very few products or procedures are actually brand-new ideas. Most new products are alterations or new applications of existing products, with some type of twist in design, function, portability, or use. Have you ever heard about the dispute between twoSteveswho createdan apple? Of course, it is about the disagreements between Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs, two co-founders of Apple Inc. Steve Wozniak was an engineer he designed and constructedApple I andApple II –oneof the first personal computers in history. Steve Jobs was a businessman he turned ideas into market successes and, thanks to his great marketing skills, encouragedmillions of people to buy Apple products. The cooperation of the two, however, was not smooth and without clashes. Wozniak has repeatedly emphasized that in his opinion Jobs is not a great visionary changing the world but only a man with a marketing flair who can use other people’s ideas and make money on them. Nowadays Steve Jobs is the first person that comes to mind when we talk about the creators of Apple’s success. Steve Wozniak seems to remain in the shadow of the glory of his great namesake. Many computer geeks who are keenly interested in the industry openly claim that Jobs did not create anything himself, but merely “stole” fame andmoney from Wozniak. We are facing an alleged dichotomy between a genius and creator namely Wozniak and a parasite gaining profits from other people’s achievements i.e. Jobs.
