Please be informed that the Ministry of Education (MOE) through the Higher Education Department (JPT) in collaboration with the Medical Research Council, United Kingdom (MRC, UK) has agreed to implement the UK-Malaysia Joint Partnership on Non-Communicable Diseases MyPAIR.
- This grant application is specifically for conducting research on diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.
- This grant application is open to Public and Private Universities (including university-level Branch Campus) . Application opens from 15 April 2019 (8.00am Malaysia time) until 29 May 2019 (11:00 am Malaysia time).
- The university is required to take note of the following:
- Proposals should be jointly prepared with the UK counterparts ;
- Proposals must be submitted by the Principal Investigator from the United Kingdom via Joint-Electronic System (Je-S) ;
- The Head of the Malaysian Project is requested to submit a proposal through the MyGRANTS http://mygrants.gov.my/main.php within 14 working days from the closing date of the submission of the application via Je-S. A copy of the proposal submitted by Je-S must be accompanied during the submission of the proposal through MyGRANTS;
- The proposal must be certified by the Research Management Center (RMC) before being forwarded to the Secretariat through MyGRANTS. However, internal university assessments need not be implemented. Submission of proposals through MyGRANTS is for the purpose of recording applications from Malaysian researchers and will be a reference for performance and financial monitoring (if the project is approved);
